How CS2 Major Pick'Em works
Pick'Em is Valve's prediction game for every CS2 Major: before each stage you call how the teams finish, and after the matches the game scores your picks. Picks made here go to the same Pick'Em as the Major hub in CS2.
How to fill Pick'Em without launching CS2
- Log in with Steam, or have your Steam profile link ready.
- Open the Pick'Em page in Steam Support (Get the code on Steam) and copy the code for the current Major, XXXX-XXXXX-XXXX.
- Paste the code in the panel. We check it with Steam straight away.
- Pick your teams, or use Fill from simulator to copy your bracket from the Major simulator.
- Hit Save to CS2. The picks show up in the Major hub in the game.
Who can play and what the Viewer Pass adds
Pick'Em itself is free to play. The Viewer Pass for the Major gives you a challenge coin, and only with an active pass do correct picks complete challenges and upgrade that coin. Valve asks players to activate the pass before a stage begins for that stage to count.
How a Swiss stage is scored
Each of the three Swiss stages has 16 teams, and you fill 10 slots: two teams that finish 3-0, six that advance with a 3-1 or 3-2 record, and two that finish 0-3. A team can sit in one slot only.
A slot is correct only for that exact outcome. A team you put in 3-0 that advances 3-1 is a miss, and so is an advance pick on a team that goes 3-0. Later stages are worth more points per correct pick, and the board shows the value for each stage. The Major hub in the game shows how many correct picks each challenge needs.
Playoff picks
The playoffs are a single-elimination bracket of eight teams: four quarterfinals, two semifinals and the grand final. You pick the winner of all seven matches, and your quarterfinal winners move on to your semifinals. All playoff picks have to be in before the first playoff match starts.
The coin and the tokens
The coin starts at Bronze when you activate the Viewer Pass. Completing Pick'Em challenges upgrades it to Silver, then Gold, then Diamond. At the Cologne 2026 Major every upgrade also gave 300 tokens for the Major Shop, where tokens buy team and player stickers or souvenirs. Rewards can change from one Major to the next, so check the Major hub in the game for the current ones.
When picks lock
Valve opens a stage for picks once its teams are known, which for Stages 2 and 3 means after the previous stage ends. A stage locks when its first match starts, and the playoffs lock at the first quarterfinal. Until then you can change picks as often as you like, here or in the game.
